Trevor turns 7 years old!

Trevor turned 7 years old on September 23rd!  I can't believe he is that old already!  Next year he will be baptized and become a Cub Scout! Here is a Smilebox video of Trevor's birthday pictures.  Enjoy!

VidAngel is Awesome!

Have you ever heard of  VidAngel?  Below is a video explaining what it is.  It's awesome! The Fairy Treasure Hunt!

When we were visiting our family in California, Kaylee decided to create another Fairy Treasure Hunt with her cousin Wesley for the younger kids. Back to School!

It has been over a year since my last post and I thought I should do some updating.  (I put new pictures in on the side too!)  Last Thursday (Aug. 4) was Kaylee's first day as a high schooler at Gila Ridge High School and on Monday (Aug. 8) Alison and Trevor started school at Mary A. Otondo Middle School.

This is Alison's and Trevor's first year going to a public school.  Before that they have been home schooled!  So it is different and new for them.  I hope that they won't feel too overwhelmed and that they enjoy it.  Here are kids 1st day of school pictures.

 Kaylee doesn't like getting her picture taken.  She was too busy studying math to smile or look at the camera.  I told her she could at least stick out her tongue, so she did!

This bedroom is growing up!

 The girls room is getting a makeover! It was painted purple with a fairy theme over five years ago. Now it's time for a change!

My pre-teen  wants brighter colors. She picked them! Kaylee  and Alison have made a bedroom fund in a jar so they can decorate their room with the rooms colors!

When we went up to visit family in October, Kaylee created a cute fairy treasure hunt for Alison, Trevor and her cousin Wesley.  It turned out so cute that I had to share!  Now you can be part of the hunt too! (Except you don't get the prize at the end...sorry!)

Sea World!

So, here we are at our Hotel in San Diego getting ready to get a good nights sleep so we can wake up and visit Sea World!

Oh yeah, and there is Kristi already asleep in the crib!

 Here is a polar bear cave that had polar bear sounds inside it and imprints of polar bear feet.  Alison and Trevor thought it was for real.  Maybe they just got scared of Jeremy poking his head in the shot!

Everyone is all tuckered out but I think most of us had fun!

San Diego Trip (continued)

Here are some fun pictures of us at LaJolla Cove in San Diego.  It was kind of sprinkling there, but it was neat to see all the animals in the water at low tide. 

 The coves are a work of art from the Master Himself!  It's so beautiful!

 Where was I? Holding the camera...and a baby...and a diaper bag...and the camera bag...and a couple of blankets just in case we found a spot to land (but never did!).  So next time someone else can hold all the stuff and take pictures and I can go play!

 Whoa! Don't fall in Trevor!  Hey, Jeremy! Can you help him?  I don't have any spare hands!

 My amazing daughter and husband figured out how to make the camera take a picture of us all at once.  Thanks you two!  I really appreciate the cooperation with everyone so we could take a good family photo!

Our San Diego Trip!

On Monday, our family went back in time to 1847 to learn more about the Mormon Battalion!  It was so fun!  I will add more pictures and info later when I have a little more time!  This picture is only the beginning of my post about our trip to San Diego.  Stay Tuned!

Mother's Day Pictures

 On Mother's Day after church I made all my kids and hubby take pictures.  

They were good sports!

 Kristi has a little scar above her eye from her fingernails.  Those things grow so fast!

By the time this picture was taken, Trevor probably was thinking the picture taking would NEVER end!

I had a nice Mother's Day.  Justin and Kaylee made steak and potatoes for me and did ALL of the dishes afterwards!  (That was the BEST part because nearly every Sunday I have to do them!)

Our New Pets

We got some chicks at the beginning of May!  I sorta twisted Justin's arm into getting them.  You know, putting out my lip and having big puppy dog eyes!  Just kidding, they were on clearance and said it would be a wonderful Mother's Day present for me.  So he went to Tractor Supply Hardware store and bought 15 of them!!!  I didn't know he would get so many, but that means more eggs hopefully!  We hope none of them turn out to be roosters, but the store wasn't 100% sure that they were all pullets (female chickens).  Justin made a lovely coop for them and is in the process of making the chicken run now.  Here are the pictures of them when we first got them (we kept them in the bathtub for a week) and then some more recent pictures of them.  Enjoy!

 This one died shortly after we got them because it was "pasted up", which means that it's poop got runny (from being stressed) and stuck onto the fluffy down so that it covered it's vent and it couldn't go potty anymore...so it died.  :-(  I could've saved it if I knew about this before hand but sadly I learned about it too late.

and Justin is in the process of making a chicken run on the right side of it.

Now our lawnmower has it's home back!

 They sure grow fast!  Look at all those feathers!

 This is Penny a little more grown up.  We hope she/he doesn't turn out to be a rooster, but it might! 

 It's a Bantam chicken (Small breed) and it has feathers on it's feet!

 Here is the other Bantam chicken (we have 2), this one is named Serenity. 

 It has feathers on it's feet too, see?

 This one was curious and jumped up on my lap!  I read once that chickens are attracted to the color red and my camera is red.  Maybe that's why it was so curious!

 Speckles is the lightest colored chicken we have.

This chick is called Fancy Nancy because she has a fancy feather on her right wing. I know, it's kinda hard to see. We couldn't name all of them because a lot of them look so similar.  Maybe when they are more grown up we will be able to tell them apart!
