Here are some pictures of some of us with Santa at our Ward Christmas party.
Trevor didn't want to sit on his lap so I had to hold him. Kaylee didn't want to go anywhere near him!

Our Halloween Costumes!

I usually don't dress up for Halloween, but I decided to do it this year. I am dressed up as an auto mechanic. It was a cheap and easy costume. (I already had the jumpsuit--it was a gift from my bridal shower because Justin really likes to work on cars!) I have put this jumpsuit on before to help Justin with stuff believe it or not! So, thanks to my wonderful sister-in-laws for the gift! It came in handy!



And here are my beautiful daughters! I don't think I have to tell you what they are. It looks self explanatory to me. They were soooo excited to put on some of my make-up!
Poor Trevor didn't have a costume this year. Of course he didn't care. I just dressed him up with an orange shirt and black Halloween pajama pants! I would post a picture but my camera stopped working when I was ready to take his picture!
We went to our church to do some "Trunk-or-Treating" and I think the girls had fun. I was happy because we didn't come home with so much candy! Justin couldn't come because he had to work and so we passed out candy by our car and when we ran out I took the girls around to some cars that still had some treats to give out. Hope everyone else had a fun Halloween! Now on to some more fun holidays! Yippee!

Trevor turned one!

Well, I should have posted this earlier, but didn't. Better late than never, right? On September 23rd, our Trevor turned one! My how time flies! I wish I had made his cake from scratch. I didn't have any time to make one myself. This little cake was bought at the grocery store. Oh well, maybe next year I'll get to make his 2nd birthday cake.

Doll Crime Scene!

These poor dolls have been attacked by one or two kitties living in our household. We don't know which one did it or if they both did it. They are not fessing up when questioned. It is my suspicion that it is Ruthie since I have seen her chew on other things before!


The brunette (we'll call her Stacy), got a mangled up left hand from the cat attack. She says that she is lucky though because she is right handed!

Ouch! I guess no more trips to the manicurist!

The red head (Ariel, the little mermaid who turned human), got BOTH of her feet bitten off and no traces of them anywhere! When she was interviewed about this horrible accident, she said that she was pretty sad to have no feet, especially right after becoming human. She was just getting used to walking and skipping too! She said now she has two choices: She will have her dad turn her back into a mermaid again, and have him turn Prince Eric into a Merman, or she will ask for wings (because her seagull friend Scully says it is so fun to fly)! Ariel says it depends on if her hubby wants to become a Merman or not! (I don't know why Ariel's dad can't just give her new feet, since he has so much power....Oh well, it's probably some kind of rule or law in Mer-land.)

(And I thought dogs were the only
ones who chewed stuff up!)

Justin's Project

Justin has started a project. He is making a dresser for our bedroom. I think he is doing a great job with it too. He says that this "practice dresser" will be for him and then he will do better with the one he will make for me! I'll post the finished project when it is finished.

Trevor has discovered his talent for climbing!

Trevor is climbing a lot better than he is walking now! I was shocked to find out that he figured out how to climb the ladder on the girls bunk bed! Here is how I discovered his "talent"....One day I was in the kitchen doing motherly/wifely things and I heard Trevor crying. Well, usually when he starts crying, he starts crawling around the house looking for me. But this time I didn't hear him coming nearer to me, so I figured he was stuck somewhere. When I found him, he was on the top rung of the bunk bed ladder crying! I am glad he didn't fall! The picture above is not the picture from this story (because he is happy). We will now have to keep an eye on him and shut the doors so he won't get hurt!

Some Family Pictures

A friend of ours took our family pictures at a park in the spring and since then he has been editing the photo shoots in his spare time to make us look really good...(you know, like swapping heads and stuff in his photo editing program he has). Well, he finally gave the CD to me on Sunday! I was so excited that I wanted to go home and look at them! Here are some of my favorite ones. Enjoy! (One of them is posted on the header above. ^)

Aaaah! My poor plant!!!

So, my cats have discovered my plant that sits in my bathroom and they are attracted to it like a magnet! I don't know what to do. I've rescued this plant before in the past (from mealy bugs) but if people don't keep the bathroom door closed, it will be a goner! I have cleaned this mess up several times. Justin says we should just let the plant die, but I like it! Maybe I can buy one of those "cat-keep-away" sprays that I've seen in the pet store and it sprays when it detects movement. I don't know what to do!

Our Ward Campout Trip!

At the beginning of August, our ward had a camp out in the Lagunas Ca. Mountains. It was pretty fun. It took about 3 hours to get there. It probably would have been better if had I check the girls night bags before we left because they didn't have any warm clothes to wear! Before we left home, I put Kaylee in charge of packing her and Alison's clothes for the trip, thinking I'd double check it before we left but guess what?--I forgot! Both girls only had shorts or capris and no good camping jeans! And what's more, Alison didn't have any socks! I had to let her wear my socks and roll them down quite a bit so it wouldn't look too funny! The mountains are a lot more cooler than in the Yuma valley! The girls didn't seem to complain much though.

Poor Trevor couldn't crawl around because it was so dirty so we had to hold him most of the time. He occupied himself by discovering that daddy's ear could be a great handle!

I was so glad I brought along the highchair. It made camping with a baby a lot easier! (Yes, I know the seat is frilly and girly...oh well, he doesn't seem to mind much--as long as he has food to eat!)

Kaylee, The Mad Scientist!

This year I've decided to enroll Kaylee in an online home school called "Arizona Virtual Academy" or "K12". It is a public school that is done at home. They send you all the stuff you will need for the whole school year and then you log in the hours the student spends on each subject (she is required to put in 4 hours per day or 20 hours during a typical school week). So far we like it a lot better than her going to school because she doesn't have to get up early and rush off and take a bus to school, she can study whenever she wants to during the day (but usually it works best to do it in the morning when her brain is refreshed from the sleep the night before!), she also can work at her own pace and not have to wait for the slower kids to catch up to her. It's been fun having her stay home with us! Maybe next year I will be able to do my own home school and not have to succumb to any teachers or public school rules. I don't really like having to log in hours and I don't like to make Kaylee learn something that she isn't interested in learning yet. But for now we will be doing this!

Our Trip to the Beach.

Here are some pictures of our recent beach trip to San Diego. We got to the beach a little later than we wanted to and the clouds were coming in, so it was a little chilly.

Clip On Nails!

I told Kaylee to put away her hair clip. While she was walking down the hall, she put the clip on her finger. When she got to the bathroom, she decided the hair clip looked good on her finger. So she got more hair clips and put them on her hand and asked me to put the other clips on her other hand. Then Alison decided they looked pretty stylish and wanted some too. She asked me to put some clips on her fingers too! We've got some stylish girls!
