Alison's Hairdo

This morning I decided to put pigtails in Alison's hair after I washed it and since it was still wet, I was playing around and made them pointy! Kaylee said that she looked like Pippi Longstocking! I had to take a picture.Here is Pippi Longstocking if you don't know who she is. Above is the cartoon version of her.

Primary for Dolls

On Sunday after church Kaylee decided to have a primary session with her dolls so they wouldn't miss out. (I got to be a teacher and one of her big dolls was a song leader.)
I remember playing primary with my sister when I was younger and it was so fun (actually I think I just remember the pictures my mom took of us doing it)!

She even made handouts for them to color! It says: "I am happy when my family prays together" (It's a lesson I will teach my sunbeams this coming Sunday). She traced the picture and then I made 5 copies of it for her on our printer/copy machine.

Happy Pioneer Day!

As most of you know Pioneer day is coming up (24th of July). I thought I would add a pioneer picture to my blog just for the occasion. This is actually a little craft that I made for Kaylee which came from the Friend Magazine July issue (In case you want to make one too)! It wasn't that hard to do either. It turned out kinda cute if I do say so myself!

I decided that they needed names: Here is Jethro Williamson and his wife Emmie Lou pulling the handcart and riding inside is Suzy with her brother John pushing behind!

Rain? In Yuma??

It finally rained here in Yuma, Arizona yesterday! It came and rained for about 5 minutes and then it stopped! Kaylee ran to dig her raincoat out of her closet and by the time she was about to play in the rain, it was gone. Poor Kaylee. Maybe next year! No, actually we might be lucky enough to have a little more before our short rainy season is through for the year!

Oops!

What is this a picture of you may ask? It is my kitchen sink garbage disposal with the rubbery finger-like part removed. Here you see some veggies and fruits that couldn't properly be eaten because I didn't check the garbage disposal really good to see if it was clear before I turned it on! I may have checked it quickly and thought this blue plastic was a piece of food or something! That blue thing you see is a baby spoon stuck in there and won't budge at all. Oh brother! So now we (Justin) will have to take it apart somehow to free the spoon again. Word of advice: If you have little plastic baby spoons at home, make sure they aren't hanging out with the food in the garbage disposal's mouth before you turn it on!!!

Our 4th of July Pictures

For 4th of July we just used up all of the fireworks that we had left over from last year and the year before that. We didn't see any firework displays in the sky this year because Justin had to go to work that night and we were all tired. We had some fun anyway!Here Justin is showing Alison how it's done.
