The Two Sides of Trevor

Well, what can I say? The boy has two older sisters! He likes to put on headbands because it seems like everyone else does!

(I didn't put these on his head, he did it entirely all by himself!)

And if the hat was a baseball cap, I'm sure he would wear that too. It's just the only one availiable at the time!

Now here are some pictures that Justin can be proud of! Trevor loves to play with Justin's tools.....and get them lost!

That's funny, it almost looks like he is missing an arm here!

One night I looked on the Internet to find a recipe for bath paint and found a simple one using baby soap ( or dishwashing soap), cornstarch, and food coloring. I made some up and tested it on the kids.

I painted Trevor's back with some green paint.

Kaylee put a dot of green on her nose and pink on her cheeks (The pink didn't show up very well)!

The kids also put their hand prints on the shower wall. They had fun and it turned the water green. The best part of it is that it was easy clean up and hopefully washed the shower/tub at the same time!

I don't remember the ratio of soap and cornstarch so I can't give it to you...our paint was kinda runny so next time I think I would add more corn starch. They have lots of other kinds of homemade bath paint recipes floating around in cyberspace too. I just picked the recipe that sounded the fastest!

Look who turned 4 years old!

Our little Alison turned four on Tuesday (Feb. 8th)! She requested a strawberry cake, so I made a strawberry cake from a box and added real strawberries on top! She had a fun birthday! She is excited that she is now four years old!

HOTEL FUN!

Just recently Justin's Grandma Chick passed away and we got to take a trip to Hunnington Beach, CA for the funeral. Although the passing of his grandmother was sad as with all funerals, we did get to see many family members, which was very neat. We also got to stay in Madisson hotel. The girls enjoyed the elevator the best (our room was on the 3rd floor but I didn't get a picture of the elevator!) Trevor enjoyed exploring his new territory also!

After we had a good night's sleep in our hotel, Alison woke up from falling out of her bed and scraped up a previous wound she had, but thanks to Aunt Marla, she is sporting a Strawberry Shortcake band-aid! (Thank you Aunt Marla!)

Trevor is trying out a hiding place that is a little too small for him to sit upright!

Now Trevor is testing out his climbing abilities in the bathroom. This toilet must be shorter than ours at home because I don't remember him being able to climb it!

La Brea Tar Pits Museum Adventure

While we were in Southern, CA for Justin's Grandmother's funeral, we decided that while we were there we would go to La Brea Tar Pits Museum (Page Museum). It was very interesting and fun to find out what kind of animals once roamed what is now L.A.!

Some nice person was so kind to take our family picture in front of this Mammoth skeleton!

Alison wouldn't go near this exhibit. This was a moving exhibit with growling sounds. She thought it was real!

Kaylee's Baptism Pictures!

On January 29th, Kaylee got baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! She had many people come to her baptism, including some from from far away as Yuba City, California and Merced, California. We were excited to have my parents and Justin's brother and his wife come and stay with us for a few days! Thanks for coming guys!

A Tale About a Tail!

Okay, so I don't have any pictures to post right now except for this cartoon, but I thought that I would take a moment to tell you a tale about our cat. Our cat Casey's tail to be more specific!

On Wednesday I tried to clip our cat Ruthie's claws, and was mostly successful-even though she didn't like it. Unfortunately, Alison was watching me do it and I didn't put away the clippers like I should have. Well, I soon found out that she got a hold of them and tried to clip Casey's claws as well, (because I hadn't gotten to her to clip her nails yet). I suppose it looked fun so Alison wanted to try it. I guess you are wondering what she did huh? Since the cats like to hide under my bed, Alison was under there too saying, "cut, cut, cut, cut!" That didn't sound very good. I dragged Alison out and took the clippers away from her. I noticed some blood on the carpet and thought that she cut the cat's claw to short but after searching her paws and finding nothing I noticed her tail was painting blood on the carpet! GREAT! Poor Casey was born with a deformed tail that kind of curved in at the very tip and Alison had cut the end of it with the claw clippers!
I tried putting a paper towel around her tail with tape but it eventually fell off so we had to put her outside till it stopped bleeding. (It was ridiculous wiping up all the blood after her every where she went and crossing my fingers that her tail wouldn't brush the furniture with blood!)

So anyway it is Saturday now and Casey's tail is still deformed, it just has dried blood on the tip of it so it's kinda gross. I need to see if I can clean it somehow without her freaking out on me! So that is the exciting thing that happened this week! (Now, aren't you glad you read this interesting post?)
